Monument Health + Physiotherapy Proudly Supports REACH at the WINDED 5K

Monument Health + Physiotherapy was proud to participate in WINDED, a five-kilometre charity run and walk organized by REACH Child and Youth Development Society.

REACH is a local organization that supports children and youth with autism and other developmental needs, along with the families who care for them. WINDED brings the community together to raise awareness and support for the services REACH provides.

Supporting Participants at the Monument Health Tent

Monument Health joined the event as a sponsor. Our team set up a tent where participants could stop by for supplies, speak with us and receive physiotherapy services before or after completing the course. Participants arrived with different levels of running experience, physical ability and preparation, so we were pleased to be available to respond to their individual needs.

Our booth also gave participants a place to pause, ask questions and speak with our team about movement, recovery and physical comfort. We enjoyed meeting people from across Tsawwassen and South Delta and hearing about their reasons for taking part.

Events like WINDED allow us to connect with our community outside the clinic while supporting people as they participate in activities that matter to them. It was rewarding to see so many people complete the course and return to an event filled with encouragement and support.

Why Supporting REACH Matters to Us

REACH Child and Youth Development Society provides programs, resources and services for children with autism and other developmental needs. The organization also supports families as they navigate their children’s individual circumstances and find the guidance and services they need.

Its work has made a meaningful contribution to families throughout Delta and the surrounding communities. WINDED helps bring greater attention to that work while giving local residents and businesses a direct way to contribute.

As a physiotherapy clinic rooted in Tsawwassen, Monument Health values opportunities to support organizations that are actively improving the lives of people in our community. We were honoured to stand behind REACH and help make its WINDED event a success.

Grateful for the Community’s Support

We would like to thank the REACH team for organizing WINDED and bringing the community together around such an important cause. We are also grateful to the volunteers, sponsors, local businesses and every person who registered, walked, ran or came out to encourage the participants. Thank you as well to everyone who visited the Monument Health tent. We enjoyed meeting you and being part of your race-day experience.

Taking part in WINDED was a meaningful opportunity for Monument Health to remain involved in the Tsawwassen community. We were honoured to participate as a Bronze sponsor, proud to support the work of REACH and encouraged by the wonderful turnout. We look forward to next year’s race.

For those who may be visiting us for the first time through this post, Monument Health + Physiotherapy is an integrated health clinic in Tsawwassen offering physiotherapy, registered massage therapy, kinesiology, personal training, and group fitness. Our approach is built around one-on-one care, where every session is dedicated entirely to the person in front of us.
